Recently my child couldn't stop vomiting so at around 8.30pm I took my child to the hospital. We rang the bell and the nurse (Janet) let us in. She was lovely and soon had my child on a bed and together with another nurse (Gronya - I think that was her name), they began to look after my child who had a very high temp and was severely dehydrated. They called Dr Graeme who came in and administered a drip to stop the vomiting and re-hydrate.
We were then admitted for the night and Hanna the nurse looked after us. She was lovely. Steve the orderly was also on duty and was really nice. In the early hours of the morning Hanna had to call the doctor again and sorted out the problems for my child.
In the morning the doctor came and looked after us and we went home with good instructions and my child made a full recovery. We were really grateful the hospital was open, as we didn't know it wasn't always 24 hours anymore. We had been there years ago when my other child broke their leg and Dr Graeme fixed that as well.
Kalbarri is a great community and we have had positive experiences each time at the hospital. The staff were caring and really looked after us. Glad we didn't have to go to Geraldton.
