"Good service"

About: Derby Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I had a very painful jaw complaint. I presented to ED and I was seen quickly by the triage nurse. Then I was seen by a doctor who explained my ailment and printed off information leaflets as well. I was able to go home feeling well looked after. So thanks Derby Hospital!

Dear Felt better,

Thank you for telling us about your experience at Derby Hospital. I hope your jaw is feeling much better.

You mention the nurse saw you promptly. The hospital has timeframes that guide who gets seen in what order, when they arrive at the emergency department, depending on what their complaint is. It was also good to hear the doctor you saw provided written advice as well, often it is hard to recall everything that has been said when you are in pain.

I will make sure the emergency department staff get your feedback and thanks!

Kind regards,

Rachele Humbert
