I was admitted to Sale Hospital in Central Gippsland Health for surgery. The staff in the theatre were so caring and considerate. Particularly Joey, Heather, Josie, Tracy, Miffy and Felly. They all took the time to say hello and to give reassurance. Dr Refaat and his female registrar and Tony the anaesthetist and his registrar were also reassuring and took the time to discuss everything they were going to do. When I was admitted to the Surgical Ward I couldn't have been cared for any better. The unit manager Gary and his staff were so caring and again gave reassurance, explaining anything they were going to do. The ward nurses, Warren, Annie, Louise, 3 x Alanas, Denise, Deb, Grace, and Mark all provided excellent care during my stay. I was offered care coordination from Dee who was also very caring. The kitchen and cleaning staff are so pleasant and make you feel comfortable. My experience at CGH, regardless of having to have surgery, was one I won't forget. We are lucky in our community to have care of such a high standard.
