"Incredible service by staff"

Good morning,

I recently had a hip replacement at Box Hill Hospital. I cannot compliment all the staff I was associated with enough. From Leanne when I initially booked to the whole of the surgical team, nurses, OT, kitchen and cleaning. Basically every staff member I came in contact with. In particular Lisa, Ann, Candy, Rudi, Michael, Eun, Mala, Amy, Rebekah, Elyse and special mention for the care, support and assistance of Aleesha and George who were both absolutely fantastic. I felt supported, safe and professionally well cared for.

As fate would have it 1 week after being discharged my husband was brought in through Emergency after suffering from a cardiac arrest. I was comforted when I knew he was in Box Hill Hospital as I knew he would get exceptional care. And I was proved right. Although he was transferred on to The Alfred. The staff in the Cardiac Unit at Box Hill were amazing in fact incredible. They were calm, friendly, attentive, professional and extremely approachable when I had countless questions that needed answering. This included Kathy (in administration), Jason, Angela, Me, Casey and Andrew. In particular Angela (another one) who was the first nurse he saw when he arrived.

We have private health insurance and have been in many private hospitals before including Ringwood and Knox. We have never been cared for like we were at Box Hill Hospital. I now have more faith than ever in the public system (which I know isn’t always perfect), but more so the wonderful staff. I cannot thank them enough.
