"Emergency Department"

About: Geraldton Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

I took my 15 year old son to hospital after he fell & injured his head at school.  He was confused, bleeding from his head & nose & very woozy.  Staff were quick to respond & had him through triage & under observation within 10 minutes of our arrival (our only wait was the queue at triage as there were a few people ahead of us).

All staff were helpful & efficient, despite the fact that the ED was full.  They fast-tracked me through the admin process so I could sit with my son & were very informative regarding his condition. A big thank-you to all the staff, especially triage nurse Annette.

Dear Wendeed,

What a scary experience for you and your son to go through, I am so pleased we were able to help and keep you at your son’s side at what must have a been a very stressful time. Geraldton Hospital, as part of WA Country Health Service, continuously aims to uphold our values and it is very reassuring to hear that we are delivering high quality compassionate care.

I will be sure to pass your lovely compliment on to the staff in Geraldton Hospital’s Emergency Department, with a special mention to Annette as I know they will really appreciate the recognition of the work they do every day.

Thank you for taking the time to share your story on Patient Opinion, I hope your son has recovered well and I wish you all the best.

Warm Regards

Michele
