My husband was diagnosed with Metastatic Bowel Cancer in September 2017, and started chemotherapy in October, and unfortunately suffered severe side effects, which resulted in him spending 11 weeks in hospital and having 2 major surgeries. The staff on Oncology Ward 4.1 nursed him through this terrible time and supported us both every step of the way. The support services that we were offered every step of the way, were invaluable, then, and now. The oncology nurses deserve a medal for what they go through, and even now, Ward 4.2 and S.U.R.C Unit 4.3, go above and beyond their duties, to make sure that my husband and myself, as his carer, want for nothing, and welcome us with a smile and first name greeting. everytime he has his new fortnightly chemotherapy treatment. We cannot thank them enough, especially Jolene, Alison, Simone, and doctors Chris, Fiona, Wanda and Peter.
A million thanks to all
