"Broome Hospital Maternity Ward"

I recently delivered my second child at Broome Hospital under the care of Jo and the other midwives from the Broome Midwifery Group Practice. 

I feel so fortunate to have had Jo by my side through prenatal care, labour and my postnatal care. She was professional and very knowledgeable and always went above and beyond to answer my questions. She listened to what I envisioned for my birth and provided encouragement for me. I will miss seeing Jo for the weekly visits! 

During my labour, Jo and the other midwives Linda and Toni made me feel comfortable and provided a positive, caring environment for us. Even though my birth didn’t go to the ideal plan I had hoped for, I feel lucky that my baby was delivered safely thanks to the amazing care of the midwives and doctors at Broome Hospital. I will always look back on his birth as a positive experience. 

There were many other midwives who took care of my baby and myself over the next few days. When complications arose with my baby’s health, Midwife Toni listened to my concerns straight away and took action immediately. Her swift action resulted in a positive outcome for my baby and they were able to make a speedy recovery thanks to her. Midwives Alyce, Jess and Lynne were friendly faces who were able to provide the perfect balance between allowing me space to bond with my baby and at the same time being supportive and willing to help with anything I needed. I felt very safe, supported, happy and lucky under the care of these amazing women. 

Thank you to all the staff at the maternity ward at a Broome Hospital including food service and cleaning staff, doctors and midwives. I could never thank you enough for your professionalism, expertise, genuine care and all the conversations we had during my stay with you.
