"Visit to ED"

About: Sutherland Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter was admitted with drink spiking. She was frightened and physically unwell. The ED staff were great. It has been my experience in the past that ED staff can be quite judgemental about issues like this. Staff at Sutherland ED that night were professional, non-judgmental and got on with the job without being the moral police. A special thanks to James - person-centred, professional yet used humour well, good therapeutic relationship skills, non-judgemental and most of all, kind!

Dear izarqf79

Thank you very much for sharing your feedback regarding your daughter’s care in the Sutherland Hospital Emergency Department following what must have been a frightening experience not only for her, but for you as a parent as well. It was very reassuring to hear of the compassion shown by the staff who looked after her and I am very happy to pass your kind words of appreciation on to James and all staff involved in your daughter’s care.

Kind regards,

Valerie Jovanovic

General Manager

The Sutherland Hospital and Garrawarra Centre.
