"Admission via ambulance after a fall."

About: Redland Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I was in severe pain after a fall, ambos were great with pain relief, as was the hospital and the firies who had to get me down a lot of steps from my house because my pain made walking near impossible. Admission and ambo handover were efficient. After x-rays I was admitted to short stay, a follow up CT scan revealed a fractured vertebrae. Nursing and medical staff were informative, pleasant and helpful. There was a glitch with prescriptions on discharge as the doctor had filed the scripts rather than given them to me as she told nursing staff. A check on the scripts while I was waiting for pick up revealed two for calcium tablets and none for Endone. Nursing staff were great in sorting out both issues, nurses also had to transfer me by wheelchair to the waiting room for pick up because no ward staff were available.
