My wife has recently been diagnosed with Temporal Arteritis and as such has to have regular blood tests. As her doctor is based at RPH it made sense to have her regular blood tests at PathWest located there. My wife has had two blood tests so far and is more than happy with the service that she has received each time. The staff are always friendly and courteous and there is very little waiting time involved. Having reviewed the PathWest website I was not able to determine if this is a WA State Gov facility. I assume it is as all contact Emails are. gov. However if as I suspect PathWest is a WA State gov facility this is something the Govt should be proud of and make it quite clear and unambiguous on their website. All West Aussies should know their taxes are contributing to this great medical facility.

We will pass on to our staff your comments with regard to the excellent service you have received.

The PathWest website does include the WA Government crest but we understand that this is not always recognisable to our viewers of the site.

Again we also provide a brief history of PathWest on the “About Us” page which describes our proud heritage as the Department of Health WA pathology service but is not a tab that many would use.

With respect to your comments, we shall investigate the possibility of highlighting our position as a state government facility on the front page of the website.

We trust that you and your wife will continue to enjoy your PathWest experience and that you will not hesitate to contact us with any further concerns.
