On the first occasion one of my children had a subluxed (carpometacarpal) cmc joint. Armadale emergency staff said it looks dislocated, feels dislocated, but the x-ray doesn't show it. One week later I went back insisted on another x-ray and guess what it was subluxed and now required surgery. On the second occasion the same child had a fall from a horse, emergency said no fracture, one week later in the trauma clinic the doctor reviewed the initial x-rays and said yes it's fractured. Number 3 my other child had x-rays on their ankle, given the all clear, three days later received a call saying the x-ray had been reviewed and yes there was a fracture. Most recent incident - my other child (first mentioned) had a horse related incident with their finger. I took my child to emergency, apparently x-ray was clear, we have since had two courses of antibiotics and another x-ray and there is a clear fracture.
I am so disappointed
