"Service in the outpatients department"

About: Box Hill Hospital / General surgery

(as a relative),

Good morning.

My wife, who has suffered some minor strokes, had to have a CT scan on her bladder.

Unbeknown  to us, prior to this occurring, she had to have some blood tests.

The blood test results were required prior to the scan, and therefore some  urgency was required

The person on duty at the time, Rosie, was the consummate professional and within around 30 minutes of the blood being taken, the results were with the people conducting the scan and all went very smoothly after that, thanks mainly to her.

I commend your staff and their professionalism.

Dear skyew53

Thank you so much for sharing feedback regarding your experience on Patient Opinion.

I'm sorry you were not aware of the need to have blood tests prior to the scan, but was so pleased to read that Rosie made this part of the experience a more positive one through her efforts and those behind the scenes who made sure the results were available to those who needed them.

It will give me great pleasure to share your post with Rosie and the staff involved and I thank you for recognising their professionalism and efforts. The Eastern Health values of Patients First, Kindness, Respect, Excellence, Agility and Humility are alive and well!

I wish you and your wife the best of health and thanks again.

Kind regards

David
