"My child's appointment"

About: Angliss Hospital / Specialist (Outpatients) Clinics

(as a parent/guardian),

We arrived for my young child's appointment at the Chandler House Outpatient Clinic (they have a severe ingrown toenail which we have been waiting to see someone about for around 6 months) which I and my husband had taken the day off work (unpaid leave) and our child obviously the day off school, to be told that there had been a mistake and somehow no one had noticed my child's age and that they should have been booked in to see a paediatrician and they would have to come back another day.

I am extremely angry that we have wasted an entire day, plus the money lost from not working and have to now do it again at another time due to the incompetence of what I assume is more than one person who can not read a simple birth date.

But I expect no one will care what this stupid stuff up will cost me personally and the blame will be simply passed around!

Dear februaryjx78

Thank you so much for taking the time to share feedback on your experience attending the specialist clinics at Chandler House at Angliss Hospital on Patient Opinion.

I would sincerely like to apologise for what is clearly an error we have made, and the subsequent inconvenience caused to your family.

In order for this to be corrected as quickly as possible, could I please ask that you make contact with my office on 9895 3259 and we will then involve the manager of this service to secure your son's next appointment.

Please accept my apologies again and I hope to hear from you soon.

Kind regards
