About: Collie Hospital Hanen ‘It Takes Two To Talk’ speech and language program

(as a parent/guardian),

After visiting our local Speech Pathology for our toddler who was struggling with getting their words to form and string a sentence together, we were booked into an 8 week course called the Hanen Program. Here after each week, the parents attending would learn new tools to help teach our children to get talking! It could not have been possible without the support of the Wellington health sector from WACHS (speech pathology division) and the Crèche at Collie (child and parent centre) to fund this very worthwhile program. Amazed and relieved, we received this much needed help. One happy family. Thank you!

Thank you very much for sharing you and your toddlers experience on attending the Hanen Program in Collie, it can be hard when your toddler is finding it difficult to express themselves and we are happy that you were able to find help through us. It is wonderful to hear that this Speech program provided the tools to help you get your toddler talking! We work in partnership with the Collie River Valley Child and Parent Centre to offer a family centred environment to run our programs and to offer support and assistance to our families. Your positive words will be passed on to both the Speech Department and the Collie River Valley Child and Parent Centre and I am sure they will be very happy to hear your kind words. We wish you and your toddler all the best in your future journey and are very pleased that we have been able to offer the help and support to you and your toddler!
