"Heart attack"

About: St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Had classic symptoms of crushing chest pain and tingling down both arms to finger tips, on my way home from Dragon Boat paddling. Found a car spot in one of the streets along the way and called 000.

They arrived within 4 mins, stated I was having a heart attack and was driven straight to the emergency cardiac unit in St Vincent's.

Taken immediately to angiography and had a LCA (left coronary artery) stent inserted. Took approximately 50 mins from when I rang to have the stent implanted.

The following day I had a RCA (right coronary artery) stent inserted for a narrowing of the artery.

I had virtually no heart damage.
