My wife needed to have a very painful eye assessed night recently on an urgent referral by her GP.

We live out of Sydney, so jumped in the car and drove straight to the Sydney Eye Hospital. There we had immediate help from a wonderful triage nurse, fantastic other nurses and the amazing doctor Linda. My wife returned home with drops and a strategy plus an order to return at 8.30am a couple of days later.

Again wonderful treatment - this time from an equally amazing doctor Vanessa.

My wife still needs to see a Corneal specialist shortly. 

Whatever the outcome, thank you to everyone in Emergency. My wife has had a lifetime of challenging eye issues. Most times she can see her specialist in normal business hours. To think we have such an amazing after hours eye emergency department is so reassuring.
