"Karratha Hospital and exceptional doctor in attendance."

About: Karratha Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I would like to thank the hospital and staff for all the help they gave me when I came into the hospital recently complaining of chest pain.  My husband and I are traveling back to South Gippsland in Victoria.  I have been struggling with my health for along time.  Doctors usually treat me for depression.  I have bouts of not being unable to speak or walk.  When I was in the hospital I had a turn and I was kept in overnight. The following day Dr Chris came in and told me what he believed I had (olivopontocerebellar atrophy).

Dr Chris gave me information and arranged for medication from the chemist and said he would notify my doctor.

Dr Chris wanted one of my children to come and take me home, but we have decided to go on as far as we can.  Knowing what is wrong is such a relief. My husband knew something was wrong, now he is working with me which is making life so much easier. My children know and understand and are there for me.

Dr. Chris wanted to know if any of my family had this and I believe an aunty on my mothers side could have. I cannot thank Dr Chris for all he has done for me and my family.

Dr Chris is an exceptional doctor who went way beyond to help me.

I wish him every success for his future.  Thank you will never go far enough.

But thank you Dr Chris.
