"Post op. Hip Replacement allied health service"

About: Eastern Wheatbelt Primary Health Service

(as the patient),

Can you help me? I was told by the Physio and OT at RPH (Royal Perth Hospital) that certain equipment would be available for my home use following my hip replacement over a week ago. I have not been contacted regarding this. I left a message prior to my admission at RPH and thought the equipment would be here on my return to my home town. Can you please advise who I need to contact re this? I have been home for a few days now. I need the equipment to be at the right height.

Thank you

Dear violetwq47

Thank you for writing to us through Patient Opinion. I am sorry to hear that your discharge home from RPH did not occur smoothly.

The Eastern Wheatbelt Primary Health Service is able to provide equipment for patients requiring assistance at home post-surgery and accepts referrals directly from metropolitan hospitals to ensure this occurs.

To enable our Occupational Therapists to assist you, please contact Shana Murray or Grace Andrews on (08) 9081 3222. Or alternatively you can speak with Jacinta Herbert, Primary Health Manager.

I hope the above is of help to you. Please accept our apology for this delay in providing this equipment and I wish you a speedy recovery from your surgery.

Kind regards

Sean
