"Charcot foot"

About: Royal Perth Hospital / Podiatry Services

(as the patient),

I was referred to Royal Perth Hospital Podiatry, where I was diagnosed as having Charcot of my right foot.

The treatment I have received there for almost the last 12 months has been nothing but incredible from all staff in the podiatry team.

I would like to make special mention of Senior Podiatrist Jessica who in my opinion for what it is worth as a patient, is one of the most professional and knowledgeable employees at Royal Perth Hospital. Her advice and help and care and treatment for my feet has been magnificent. I would like to let Royal Perth Hospital know that Jessica is an asset to the podiatry department and that they are very lucky to have her on their team.

Thank you for your ongoing treatment and advice for what was, to me, a scary thought at the possibility of me losing my foot/feet if I don’t take care of them correctly.

Dear Wrekit,

Thank you for sharing your story here and recognising Jessica and the rest of the podiatry team. It is very pleasing to hear how well you were looked after and how supported you felt. You are right, we have excellent, dedicated staff at RPH and ongoing education of our patients is an important part of their role.

I will pass on your praise and thanks to the podiatry team, and Jessica in particular.

Kind regards

Dr Lesley Bennett
