(as the patient),

I was greeted by a grad nurse who was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable who put me at ease.

The theatre nurse was older and more settled in her role and was very jovial but very caring and made me feel relaxed as well.

The Div 1 (nurse) was super efficient, kind, caring, and couldn't be more helpful.

The dentist and anaesthetist were both very professional and caring.

Waiting time was nil and all staff included my wife in all conversations and made sure she was comfortable while waiting.

They all deserve a pay rise.

Our values at the health service are Caring, Accountable, Respect and Excellence, and I read your story with these words at the front of my mind.

I am delighted that you have had a positive experience at our day surgery, and that your wife was involved in the conversations and was kept comfortable during your procedure.

You mention being made to feel at ease, and I think that it is so important that you feel as relaxed as possible before going into a theatre procedure, and I am really pleased that our staff were able to help you get to that level of comfort.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your story and experience. I will pass on your story, although I know the staff watch this site to see what people write about, and I am sure they think they all deserve a pay rise too!
