I have complained to Aged Care Commissioner regarding Kincare withholding my funds, not reimbursing me for agreed expenditure. I had to change providers and Kincare have not provided an exit statement. There is over $1500 missing and no explanation. In my opinion, the Aged Care Commission is weak as water and do not make providers accountable to corruption or fraudulent activity that I believe is so pronounced in this industry.
New provider has just notified me that they are taking 25% out of my ACAT (Aged Care Assessment Team) level 3 package. This equates to $8000 out of my package and no reply once again for statements or reply to any query. Where will this ever stop?
It's my understanding that Kincare over charged a client $12000 in fees and tried to get this client to pay before we changed their provider. Kincare left this elderly blind client with rotten food or no food in the fridge, but proceeded to take them out for lunch at their expense and drop this client off with no food over the weekend. They continued to charge even when the carer didn't turn up.
