Recently I went to my optometrist, who did a dye test and expressed concerns that I could have an issue with my retina, specifically the possibility of fluid building up behind scar tissue ... my words, my interpretation ... she referred me to Sydney Eye Hospital. Which not unexpectedly was very very busy.
The triage system worked, and I was seen almost immediately, my eyes were examined and the prognosis was that there was not a concern, but to monitor just in case. The optometrist had raised her concerns, but at the end of the day the Specialist felt that it was a false alarm.
Lovely service from some very busy people. I felt guilty that I got moved through the system so quickly based on my referral, and there were people who had waited a long time in a crowded room. That’s my guilt. In terms of the experience, which admittedly was special and incredibly speedy, I could not fault my experience.
"Fabulous experience"
