"My mum has cancer"

About: Prince of Wales Hospital / DB2S - Surgical Ward

(as a relative),

Hi

My mum has been diagnosed with liver and stomach cancer and is an elderly person.

We had to what 2 weeks to get PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scan now we are still waiting to get the drains taken out for two weeks. Now one and half weeks late to get two stents put in and still waiting.  Have been also told my mum is inoperable because it’s too serious and cannot be cured.

You would think that she would be put on the priority list, but no, it seems like they don’t care at all.

They just keep telling her today is the day and get her hopes up only to tell her later that day the operation has been cancelled again.  Sometimes they don't even bother to tell her, so she doesn’t lose all hope of some quality of life she has left.

Please can you help us?

In my opinion, this is getting beyond ridiculous.
