"Parent breakfast bags"

About: Perth Children's Hospital

(as a parent/guardian),

My child has been to the Perth Children's Hospital twice now. We live over three hours away and my child can be very clingy. We have some family in Perth, but due to the one parent/carer being able to stay, my husband has returned to work. I am unable to leave my child's room even if family are present, so I really appreciate the parents brekkie bag. Maybe it can be looked into providing lunch & dinner for parents even if this comes at an additional cost? If I have no family visiting I don't get to eat.

Dear Cedj83

Thank you for your comments. It is nice to know that the parent breakfast bags we provide are useful for our families. Your feedback that it would also be helpful for parents to have an option to have lunch and dinner delivered to the patient room, is very useful for us. Our food vendors on level one currently have an option for online food ordering (please visit https://foodhall.mobi2go.com/ for more information). We will discuss with them the possibility of setting up a delivery service for families on the wards, as I appreciate this would be helpful for yourself and other families. I will post a response to let you know the outcome of this conversation. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, we welcome all opportunities to improve the hospital experience for our patients and their families. Please accept my best wishes for your child.

Kind regards

Dr Aresh Anwar
