"Dentist appointment"

About: Dental Services (Bass Coast Health)

(as the patient),

After attending my booked appointment I was told that it had been cancelled and that they had called several times and messaged me upon checking their claims. I discovered there were no messages left cancelling the appointment, I actually received a confirmation text the day prior. As for the phone calls, they were from a number that was blocking its ID. So due to spam, and like many other people, I do not answer these calls. What are you hiding your number? In my opinion, this is an extremely unorganised practice that has now cost me over $30 in fuel travelling to and from the hospital.

I am very sorry that you have been inconvenienced by our service - that is certainly not what we intend to do. If you are able to call me on my mobile (0472846355) I will be able to look at your file and work out what actually happened.

We hide our number on purpose - to protect people's privacy. There are many of our services (e.g Family Violence, Inpatient Services, Alcohol and Drug services to name just a few) where people may not want others to know that we have called. It is very important in a small community such as ours that people can keep their interactions with us private if they chose to do so.

Whilst I am keen to understand what happened in your circumstance re your appointment, the experience of most people is that the Dental service is highly organised - it has to be organised because it treats hundreds of people each week.

I would very much like to understand what didn't go well in your case. I hope you will be able to call me. And thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.
