"Alcoholism"

About: Logan House Aftercare Logan House Residential Rehabilitation Facility

(as a service user),

I have been struggling with alcohol addiction for the past 10 years.  I have been in and out of Rehabs and Detox's for the past 4 years.  This year I attended Logan House to participate in their 6 week Rehab treatment program and found their approach to recovery different than the other rehab centres I have attended. It was centred around Self Care and Self Love, which I had lost over the years of drinking.  Logan house is also a non-smoking facility, so at the same time as giving up the drinking I have also ceased smoking as well.  After finishing the 6 week program, I decided to move into the Transition House, that is connected to the Logan House program.  The Transition House allows you to slowly transition back into society whilst allowing the safety and security of a drug/alcohol free place to live, the ability to have freedom to attend meetings and look for work. As well as support from the treatment facilitator (Branka), with weekly case management sessions and groups linked with Lives Lived Well for continual support.   At the end of my stay at the Transition House and Logan House I am very happy and confident in moving forward in my recovery journey.
