Recently I attended the Maroondah ED and instantly I was admitted to Maroondah Hospital following certain medical tests conducted. In ED I was examined by Dr Rebecca. I was suffering from abdominal pain and fever. She was very thorough, caring and very professional in her demeanor. I knew I was in good hands. She treated my wife with total respect.
I was transferred to Ward 3 East. Nursing staff were very caring. I was given antibiotics intravenously. Around 2300hrs a sharp pain took hold. Immediately a nurse (wish I grabbed her name) came in and took care of the situation. Doctor attended shortly after and pain killers were administered. This nurse was very passionate, caring and helpful in managing the pain. I had surgery the next day following a burst appendix.
While convalescing in Ward 3 East, 2 names come to mind, Lara and Jeremy, who made sure that I was comfortable and cared for. Other staff members were extremely helpful and caring.
