I came off my motorcycle at approximately 60 km/h and slid down a rough chip bitumen road mainly on my right elbow consequently removing large amounts of flesh.
I presented myself at Geraldton Regional Hospital at approximately 6pm on Friday night and was admitted to emergency service straight away where the staff did everything humanly possibly to check me over and help ease my suffering, at approximately 11.30pm they suggested I go home and try to get some sleep and to re-present myself in the morning.
At 7.30am the following morning I was admitted to hospital for surgery the next morning which was done on time and all I can say is a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in my short stay. It doesn’t matter if they were the cleaning staff right through to the surgeons, thank you and a special thank you to Tina the ward nurse for room 26, thank you for all your wonderful care and compassion.
