My wife was in agony, eye was red and swelling so she couldn't open it. I dialled Flinders Medical Centre for advice, they promptly patched me through to the relevant person, she asked about her condition and recommended to come up to the Emergency Department for examination. Being a weekend, doctors are hard to find elsewhere with eye specialist knowledge, so we promptly arrived.
Yes, we had to wait a bit for our turn. Staff were very professional and even phoned an ophthalmologist to come to see my wife. She was marvellous, we were moved to the eye clinic, and my wife got treated and examined and sent home feeling better. That made my day to see her smile again.
We got excellent service and care. Flinders Hospital is our no 1!
