"The feedback facility and the services provided"

About: Maroondah Hospital

(as the patient),

Many events throughout my journey to surgery  I would like to pass on to others :

Firstly I have found the hospitals own feedback facility where you want to speak to someone is virtually a big joke, despite saying they will contact you to discuss your concerns; no one ever contacted me over a period of 3 months which I felt was totally incompetent and hugely disappointing. I feel this facility is virtually non existent so don’t bother!

Secondly I saw an orthopaedic surgeon about my upcoming surgery:

In all my 50 years of dealing with doctors and health care professionals I have never ever had a doctor with, what I feel is, such a poor, depressing bedside manner than this doctor. It was a straightforward operation, which would be done hundreds of times weekly .

The doctor just turned it on it’s head with the most depressing outcomes, including possible amputation. I also feel the doctor was implying that it was my fault with the worst attitude I have ever experienced.

So if you ever have dealings with this doctor, be prepared to be told your situation is like Armageddon.
