"Roadmaps helped me feel better about myself"

About: Lives Lived Well – Dubbo (Roadmaps)

(as a service user),

I came to Roadmaps due to my drug addiction and not knowing ways around quitting drug addiction whilst staying at home and dealing with other personal issues and detox in a safe and supportive environment.

I've found Roadmaps good for methods for my bad communication styles and support through my drug addiction by learning strategies such as Stop. Think. Do.

I've done Roadmaps twice and have found it made me feel better about myself by providing support and advice both in group and one on one counselling.

I feel there are limited changes needed to improve the program such as to offer transport and to fund the program for a longer time.

Dear lupusww98,

Thank you for your feedback. It is great to hear that you have completed the program twice and that you were given to tools to deal with your drug issues and that it as improved your communication.

I note that there are difficulties around transport in many rural settings - I also know that the staff do try to arrange transport through local community services where possible. Good news is that the program has been re-funded so keep your eye out for the next one!

Again, thank you for taking the time to give us feedback and all the best for your continued success.

Kind regards,

Lara McLaughlin
