"First-time parents very happy with helpful, caring midwife team"

About: Wonthaggi Hospital / Maternity Services

(as the patient),

We are first time parents and went to Wonthaggi hospital to have our first child.

The consultations during early pregnancy were incredibly helpful and the midwives were warm and welcoming.

During the pre-labour the midwives were on call 24/7 and offered constant support and information. During the labour they called in extra staff where needed and offered constant support the whole way through.

Once our baby was born, the midwives were incredibly supportive and were fantastic at passing on there skills and knowledge to the new mother.

We were very happy with the midwives. They really cared and went above and beyond (day and night) they were very helpful and you could tell that they loved what they did.

Dear skyrj39,

It's such a huge thing to be first time parents. I remember it so well myself. There is nothing more important than to feel supported - not judged - and to have people who truly care, and who can provide you with information and options and guidance. I am so pleased that we were able to do that for you. Our midwifery staff are hugely committed to what they do and I will be sure to pass on your lovely feedback to our staff. I wish you and your new family all the very best in your new beautiful world. Enjoy!

Kind Regards,

Jan
