"Poor maternity staff attitude"

About: Box Hill Hospital / Maternity Service

(as the patient),

I've been coming to the Box Hill Hospital for my maternity appointments for the last few months. The people on the counter always have such an attitude when checking in or booking appointments - barking orders and always annoyed, making me feel like I've asked for their first-born child. 

The wait times are exceptionally long and there's no indication of when you will be called, regularly late 1 hour past the appointment time. What's the point in having an appointment time if they can't even stick to the same hour?

Thank you so much for taking the time to share comments on your experience when attending the maternity clinics at Box Hill Hospital. I’m sorry you’ve experienced staff comments like this and also needing to wait longer than expected with little to no communication about what’s happening.

Its clear we can do better here and I will share your experience with the Program Director and Clinical Director so they can use your experience to drive this improvement.

I hope aside from this your antenatal care is going well and I wish you well with the rest of your care with Eastern Health.
