About: Lives Lived Well - Katoomba (Dianella Cottage)

(as a service user),

This week I completed the six week Wise Woman’s day programme at Dianella Cottage in Katoomba. This programme meant so much to me. I am over 50 years old and this is the first time I have even heard of the possible relationship between trauma and substance abuse. I had never considered that traumatic events in my childhood could have anything to do with my  use of substances as a way to deal with psychological and emotional pain and my sense of deep-seated self loathing.

I am sincerely grateful to Jude and Maria and my fellow group members for their respect and for helping me on the road to healing.

I manage the process of writing reports for the organisation's funding bodies, administer the client data system and prepare and analyse client data for reporting purposes.
