"My visit to the eye clinic"

About: Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital / 1 East (Ophthalmology)

(as the patient),

I had a scratch on my cornea and was very concerned about the injury.

I want to tell you about your staff member Irene.

What a treasure she is, she told me she was just a little potato in the scheme of things but I can assure you she felt like a big potato to me.

She was professional in every way, which put me at ease because it was obvious she knew what she was doing. Including rustling up other staff members to keep the whole situation ticking over in the best possible time frame.  It was her dry sense of humour that kept her patients giggling, making us all feel calmer and confident that all would be ok.

Thanks Irene.

Dear Good on Irene

Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge the care you received from Irene. We are very fortunate to have dedicated, compassionate staff, who take time to reassure our patients in times when they are most stressed. Your feedback will be shared with Irene and the other staff in the Department.

I hope your scratched cornea is healing well.

Kind regards

Barbara
