(as a service user),

My experience at Dianella Cottage Katoomba is ongoing and extremely important for me and my recovery from drugs and alcohol and dealing with systems and services like Family and Community Services and the Health Department. It becomes very challenging and workers Jude and Maria at Dianella Cottage support me through this harsh process. They teach me regulation emotionally - how to cope etc. I would not have had an opportunity of restoration with my children without this support network. They need to be more noticed, valued and funded.

It is really important to acknowledge the skills and work that they do, and of course, acknowledge the work that you are doing to improve your circumstances. It is great to hear that you have restoration and that you are being well supported while navigating other services. I hope this continues for you and that your journey of recovery remains a positive and life-changing process.
