I tried for at least 2 months to get my spouse into aged care. They were in Kurri Kurri Hospital awaiting a place and was placed on several lists. But after all this time and no answers to my phone calls, I had to go out of the area to get them into another aged care facility. As I don't drive you can appreciate that this was not an ideal situation having to rely on public transport to and from here to Newcastle.
