Amazing service in Emergency Department

(as the patient),

About: Carnarvon Hospital / Emergency Department

My spouse had to go to Emergency Department in Carnarvon recently and we were very impressed with the services from the staff. They were very attentive, helpful and listened to all our concerns. They made us feel welcomed and valued. Doctor Nigel was professional and very friendly, as was the nurse manager Julie. The nurse was also very thorough and very informative, assisting us to understand each step of the treatment.

This morning my spouse also had to come back to check their results and once again we were treated with the utmost care, with the doctor being thorough and informative. Although there was a bit of a wait, my spouse is now on the road to recovery and we would just like to thank all the staff whom treated my spouse.

Dear vulpeculagn96,

Thank you for sharing your wonderful compliment on Patient Opinion, we really appreciate you taking the time to share you and your spouse's experience with the team at the Carnarvon Hospital Emergency Department. I was sorry to read that your spouse was unwell however so pleased that the care your spouse received was of a high calibre. It is through stories like yours, we certainly get a sense of the great care being provided by our team at the Carnarvon Hospital.

Stories like yours also remind us that providing healthcare is so much more than treating the ill, it’s about providing compassion, empathy and supportive care to both the patient and their loved ones. You and your spouse's positive experience is a great example of the work our teams do every day and I will take great pride and delight in passing on your thanks and acknowledgement to our very committed front line team with a special mention to Julie and Dr Nigel.

Patient Opinion strengthens the partnership we have with our service users by allowing patients, families and carers the opportunity to share their personal stories and it really does keep myself and our organisation closely connected with what matters most to them.

Thanks again for taking the time to write, I'm so pleased to read that your spouse is well on the road to recovery.

I wish you both all the best for the future.

Kind regards
