"Felt unimportant"

About: Box Hill Hospital / Respiratory Ward

(as the patient),

I had an 8.30am respiratory laboratory appointment at Box Hill Hospital. I felt frustrated, unimportant and ignored because I believe the staff wanted to gossip. The check-in station window was always closed. I listened to the personal conversations of approximately 4 staff. At 8.50am my details were taken. Gossip again by staff, and I was eventually seen at 9am.

I felt under-valued, and unsure if anyone was going to see me at all.
