I had been clean for some time, however due to stressful personal circumstances, I started smoking pot again. After six weeks I had become very depressed, I wasn't looking after my youngest child properly and stayed in bed sleeping. I was not only neglecting my child but myself as well. I realised that in order for me to get better that I needed to put myself into rehabilitation - even if it meant going in without my child. I had to get better for them and myself as well.
So I searched on the Internet for a place who would also take children and came across the Logan Family Recovery Units. I rang them straight away and after a few days I finally got in contact with someone. I waited for around three weeks before a unit became available for my child and I.
I am very grateful to have been given the opportunity to come into Logan Family Recovery (LFR) because I would of ended up god knows where. I know I would of ended up losing my youngest to Child Safety. I will be reaching out to get the help I need now my time has ended at LFR and already have put things into place.
I've also started a course online and I want to start my own business. I finally have some goals and dreams that I want to fulfill.
I am very happy and grateful that I made the choice to get myself better and stick it out with LFR.
