About: Queen Victoria Home Residential Care

(as a relative),

Inability to contact anybody regarding my parent's wellbeing and care is an ongoing concern. Staff are unavailable on site and never ring back when telephone enquiry is instigated.

Dear polariszd36,

Firstly, I am sorry that you have found communication difficult and an ongoing concern with staff regarding your parent’s wellbeing and care.

Staff communicating effectively is a priority for the QVCare team and we are always seeking to improve the way we do things. If you would like to make contact with myself or the Executive Manager Clinical Care so we may understand and would be eager to address and improve the way we are communicating information with family members.

Alternatively, if you would prefer to contact either in person or by phone by requesting to speak with;

Nurse on the Unit who is caring for your ‘parent name’
Registered Nurse ‘In Charge’ on shift, regarding ‘parent name’
Clinical Care Coordinator (during business hours M-F)

Another option that some family members prefer and is only recommended for ‘non urgent’ matters; please email and the relevant QVCare staff member will obtain the information from the appropriate area, service, staff member and a response will follow.
