"Confusion amongst rules"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital

(as a parent/guardian),

Half good half bad, the care from the NICU nurses towards our baby is exceptional they treat every baby like their own and it’s beautiful to see. However confusion amongst rules must be sorted. Rules on signs to the rules of the nurses are different and this makes for confusing, frustrating conversations that upset the parents and families. I feel communication on the ward is horrible.

Dear Parent101,

Thank you for your kind words in regards to the great care provided by our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurses. I am sorry for the confusion which I assume relates to a recent change to visitor restrictions. We are working to ensure that everyone is aware of the revised restrictions which are as follows:

Previous restrictions were parents and grandparents only, with no siblings or other friends and family allowed. These restrictions have now been removed.

If you would like to us to look into the matter further please contact us on 6152 4013 so that we can understand in more detail.

Kind regards,

Paul Mark
