"Waiting 3 weeks for a lung function test appointment"

About: Perth Children's Hospital

(as a parent/guardian),

I am anxious as my child is currently undergoing testing for what could be a serious result. A referral was sent to Perth Children's Hospital some time ago for lung function testing and so far I have had no contact whatsoever, not even an acknowledgment of the referral.

I would like some form of contact to know what is occurring with the referral.

Dear andromedaqc78,

Please accept my apologies for the delay in your child being seen for an assessment of their lung function. We would like to investigate this further and to ensure that an appointment has been arranged for your child. To do so, we require some more information.

Could you please contact Lara Jackson, A/Coordinator of Nursing (Medicine Division) via telephone on 6456 4541 or email Lara.Jackson@health.wa.gov.au?

Kind regards,

Katie McKenzie
