"Operation at Sydney Eye Hospital"

About: Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital

(as the patient),

I was recently diagnosed by my local doctor as having a serious retinal detachment.  I immediately attended the outpatients at Sydney Eye Hospital.  I was seen within 90 minutes by a doctor and surgeon, who booked me for an operation for a few weeks later.  The operation took 2.5 hours and I was made to feel safe and comfortable by all doctors and nurses.

Since then I have been back to the Eye Hospital for two check-ups.  The surgeon, Dr Perach, is pleased with the operation and I will undergo a further operation when the eye has stabilised.

I feel very fortunate to have such competent and caring treatment at Sydney Eye Hospital.
