I had a colonoscopy recently and the team were very professional from pre-surgery text reminders to discharge. Admission was friendly and easy, my nurse who admitted me was chatty and very friendly, and the post-op team were great. The ham and cheese toastie after 3 days without solid food was divine.
I was hesitant as a public patient, but my experience (for an unpleasant procedure) could not have been done better. On waking up a surgeon was standing at my bed to explain what was found and what was done, and I got a copy of the report to take home.
Not one staff member didn't smile, yet they all were extremely careful and professional. Well done all at Albany Health Campus WA.
