"Spoilt rotten at the Sydney Eye Hospital"

About: Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital

(as the patient),

I went to the Retinal Clinic because I'd had a retinal detachment a few months back. They'd patched it all up and put some silicone oil around. They thought it would be good but said I'd have to be careful.

I had a call up to come back recently. They took the oil out and put in some sort of gas. It was a bit blurry but they said it would clear and I would just have to come back in a few weeks.

I'm pretty happy with the results and the nurses were all pretty nice. They fussed and they fussed and they pampered me. I felt I was sitting up there like King Farouk. Then they fed me shepherd's pie at night. I felt like saying that I might camp here for a while!

They spoilt me rotten!

Dear The old beach inspector,

It is certainly lovely to be spoilt and pampered and it is wonderful to hear you were cared for so well by the nurses during your recent treatment for the retinal detachment. We are very proud of our staff and I will ensure your feedback reaches them.

All the best with your continuing recovery.

Kind regards

Alan
