My parent had a complete knee reconstruction surgery a few months ago in Armadale Kelmscott Hospital and was referred for Rehabilitation in the Home afterwards.
The surgery was a complete success (my parent was very apprehensive beforehand), the rehabilitation (exercises to gain again the proper movement in the limb ) was an important part because without it, they wouldn't be able to walk like they walk today. Two months after the operation, they can almost run.
I was there all the way (together with my other parent) and we feel that the Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists helped us very much all the way to recovery. We remember Penny (Occupational Therapist), Hannah (Physiotherapist), as well Emma, and Loretta, all for being kind, cheerful and professional (with the right attitude and helping hand).
There were there to assure us that we are on right track, and with their knowledge, to point us of the proper way with exercises and preparing for any scenario that may arise in my parent's daily life. Together with my parent's spouse and I, we prevented any possible mishap (fall that could be fatal), and my parent is very happy and we are very happy with the outcome.
