About: Busselton Health Campus / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I took my parent to day surgery at Busselton Health Campus for a cataract procedure. Whilst it was a little annoying to be told to go to another town for the procedure when there were two hospitals nearer to my parent the experience in Busselton was very positive. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, professional and understanding. Dr Sven was absolutely wonderful - completely allaying my parent’s fears by talking his way through the pre op bit. Beautiful colourful surrounds, calm atmosphere. All very good, can’t wait to go back for the other eye!

Hi Smart,

While I agree it may seem annoying to have to travel away from your local Hospital, the South West has set Busselton up as the main provider for eye surgery. However if clinically you required a higher level of care, then Bunbury were also able to perform this surgery

The decision of where the patient has surgery is made with the Surgeon and the Anesthetist and they deemed Busselton the best location for your parent's surgery.

Our team are committed and work together to ensure that they provide the best experience possible for the patients.
