"Unimpressed with food choices"

About: St Basils Homes For The Aged

(as a parent/guardian),

On a weekend recently, party pies were served as dinner. When the person serving the dinner was questioned about the poor quality of food for dinner, they responded by saying that this is what residents have asked for and if they want they can ask for something else.

This Aged Care Home predominantly has elderly from Greek, Italian and Serbian backgrounds and hence why it claims to provide Mediterranean Cooking. Part Pies is not Mediterranean I'm sure people don't pay thousands of dollars per month for party pies to be deemed as dinner nor do I think the Federal Government is subsidizing St. Basil's Homes for the Aged for this.

To make things worse when we contacted St Basils and spoke to the head staff member, all they had to say was, at least it's not dog food. Well if that's where St Basils has drawn the benchmark then I feel shame on St Basils.
