"A broken wrist"

Slipped over and broke my wrist at home recently. Attended Bundaberg Base Hospital where an X-ray was taken and it was confirmed that I had broken my wrist. I was told that there was only a slight misalignment and that it did not warrant correction surgically.

A letter was sent to my GP stipulating that there was a slight misalignment. After a week I went to my GP and asked for a referral to an Orthopaedist. My GP looked at the same X-ray from the Bundaberg Base Hospital and told me the misalignment was 25 degrees and I subsequently had my wrist pinned surgically the same day.

I m sick and tired of receiving what I feel is sub-standard medical care in country towns where I have received treatment and I intend to file an official complaint to the hospital.
